Apple's long-rumored smart home hub will reportedly arrive a month after its debut. According to Mark Gurman's Power On newsletter via MacRumors, the "HomeView" hub ships around mid-November, roughly a month after the October 13 "Welcome Home" unveiling.
The hub runs an A18 chip and comes in two form factors: a countertop model in four colors and a wall-mount version in two. It's said to be Siri-first, with no App Store — a notable bet that voice, not apps, is the interface for the home.
A staggered launch isn't unusual for new Apple categories, but it means the company's big smart-home push will build momentum well into the holiday season.
